What this POS actually costs in Year 1.
*Representative buyer: 1 location · 2 terminals · $40K/mo card volume · ~600 transactions/mo.
Quote-only. Enterprise restaurant POS pricing. Year-1 TCO estimate not publicly available; industry reports suggest $400-$800/mo software per location + hardware bundle.
Why this POS is priced this way.
NCR Aloha (now NCR Voyix after the 2023 spinoff) is the enterprise restaurant POS — Chick-fil-A, McDonald's franchisees, large casual-dining chains. The product depth is genuinely deeper than the SMB cohort (Toast, Lightspeed) for multi-state/multi-thousand-location operations. Pricing is quote-only because the buyer is enterprise procurement, not an SMB owner.
What first-time buyers miss.
Aloha is over-spec for SMB use cases. SMBs evaluating it are often misdirected by integrators or franchisor recommendations; the SMB-tier product depth at Toast or Lightspeed is sufficient. NCR Voyix re-brand is a 2023 transition — some industry coverage still references 'NCR Aloha' but the parent has changed.
Who this POS fits.
Multi-state restaurant chains. Franchise operators with 50+ locations. Casual-dining or full-service-restaurant chains where corporate consistency is the requirement. Not for SMBs.
